Facebook on the Big Screen

Columbia Pictures recently released, The Social Network, a movie that loosely chronicles the creation and early years of the social networking site known as Facebook. Actor Jesse Eisenberg stars as the Facebook founder and current CEO, Mark Zuckerberg.

The screenwriter, Aaron Sorkin, who also wrote the screenplay for Charlie Wilson’s War and A Few Good Men, worked with author, Ben Mezrich, to create the screenplay of The Social Network. Mezrich wrote the book The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal, on which the movie is based.
