Mountaintops and Valleys: A Personal History of the Civil Rights Movement




                Ms. Hunter-Gault, a journalist who has worked for PBS and CNN, was one of two black students to integrate the University of Georgia in 1961, and she was the first black woman writer for The New Yorker magazine. She tells about her experiences as a black woman during the Civil Rights era in this book.
